Vanessa is a really good friend of mine, I was able to go and visit her last weekend after a meeting I had in her home town. I finally was able to meet Saylor. He is just a sweetheart, and a warm and kind soul. Since I always carry my camera, well here are just a few of the pictures I took of him.

Not a lot of people know what has occurred to me in the past three years, and the loss that I have gone threw, but the day that I was finally able to ride a motorcycle sent feelings of freedom and total relaxation. I ride because I enjoy the sense of freedom that a motorcycle gives, your vulnerable, your at the mercy of the elements, you have to relax yet be aware of your surroundings. Your alone with your thoughts. I have solved world peace so many times I've stopped counting. It's funny no matter what even when riding in a group, you are surrounded by fellow riders, who all understand the peace and tranquility of riding, but you are still alone when you ride. I love it, it is my therapy, my release from this world, from my reality of life.
Someone once told me, have you ever seen a motorcycle in front of a therapist office?? Ok so I have started back up in yoga now.. oh boy! So much work again at least I have 30 weeks to go!!!
I have started to notice my energy level increasing, and I have lost 6lb now. Jeans are starting to fit better, and I notice my sleeping pattern is shifting...So far so good.. knock on wood! I'm also back into reading about running again and will post my favorite places to go soon. I'm still pretty excited about this journey I'm partaking in. Well I have decided to get my ass off the couch and do the Victoria Half Marathon again this year! I have officially started to train as of yesterday, so I am taking bab-ysteps current goal is to run the TC 10k in the first week of May, and then proceed to my final goal. I'm excited and nervous, but I know I can do it. I did it before a couple of years ago, I can do it again. I have tonnes of support this time around!
Baby steps! Here is my blue unicorn that I named Bob!
He is for my friend Mily, which in turn she will be giving to her nephew! I'm really happy with the outcome. He has his own personality to boot! |
GenevieveI'm a single tattooed, motorcycle riding mom, trying to make sense of this place called earth. I have had my ups and downs. I have found peace with my photography ,crocheting and riding my motorcycle. The love of my life is my daughter Adele, who is my inspiration for everything that I do now. Archives
