We had an awesome weekend! Busy.. Went to a festival, played at the park, discovered new insects..

I had discovered like so many people the website "1000 Awesome Things"
When I found it way over a year ago, I was in a place in my life where I had questioned what was so great about being human, or just being. Then I discovered this site.
I can't tell you how much it really changed me, and how every day I look forward to ready what awesome thing is on the list.

Why because it's AWESOME

So as must of you know I create tonnes of hats for the neo-natal unit for our local hospital. Well today a fellow work came up to me to tell me that she was visiting a friend who just had a baby, and while exploring the maternity ward came across a bunch of pictures of little ones, and there were my hats, in the pics, and not just any hats but of my little pumpkin patch I had created in October. She said it was adorable.... Not going to lie it brought a tear to my eye, to just hear how my hats brought joy to families. It makes what I do so worth it..

Put those together and that is what my Monday was like.
Head pounding and yet can't take anything to help with the pain as nothing will stay down.. LOVELY

To add to my adventure, imagine neighbors kid playing music as loud as it can be, with the bass on MAX!!..

We went to Sidney and enjoyed some time at the aquarium and at the local beach looking for treasures. We had a blast and the weather was fantastic!

Today I found a pattern that made me very excited and thrilled to make. I was also giddy that I had brought my crochet gear to work. Normally on my breaks I will start to crochet a hat for the hospital, but when I saw this pattern, I knew this was my new project!!!

Hee hee.. and I'm not going to tell any of you what it is!!!!!

Vanessa is a really good friend of mine, I was able to go and visit her last weekend after a meeting I had in her home town. I finally was able to meet Saylor. He is just a sweetheart, and a warm and kind soul. Since I always carry my camera, well here are just a few of the pictures I took of him.
